BA Church Music
The work of a church musician is more varied today than ever. It can include everything from children and youth group activities to concerts, and there are good opportunities to shape your own work.
The church music programme offers a unique environment with both master’s and doctoral studies, dedicated teachers and prominent researchers closely associated with your instruction. Each year you will have the opportunity to participate in the Gothenburg International Organ Academy, where leading musicians and researchers from around the world gather. A world-class collection of organs is at your disposal. In addition to the organs and other keyboard instruments at the Academy of Music and Drama, you have access to the baroque organ in Örgryte New Church and other interesting instruments in the Gothenburg area.
The programme provides a range of relevant subjects and specialisations, which prepares you for a job with very good employment opportunities – and a professional role in a dynamic career. Completion of the programme provides you with the entry requirements to apply for the Master’s Programme in Organ and Related Keyboard Instruments or the MA Programme in Choral Conducting.
